About

Before writing about ezToff, I have to write about Twetailer, then about AnotherSocialEconomy.

In the beginning there was Twetailer which can best be described by watching the Where Demand Comes to Meet Supply video.

Basically, I wanted to build something for myself & fellow techies. But I knew I couldn’t build it on my own so I came up with the Kool-Aid Solution and met my old friend Dom Derrien for lunch. Dom had his own ambitions, much more altruistic than my need to purchase a Nintendo Wii. Dom had visions of helping folks in Africa build schools, homes and clinics by empowering the local micro-finance non-profit organization Diku-Dilenga.  But by the end of lunch we realized we could be both searching for the exact same solution, only slightly different.

And so the concept of AnotherSocialEconomy was born. From which a non-profit child emerged – Lusanga and the to-be profitable child Twetailer. All based on the exact same core engine, with only slightly different branches.

Along our journies, we picked up another good friend – Rick Boretsky to help us out on the Retail side of things.  But the more we travelled and the further we got away from Cube Dwellers (techies) and the closer we got to those that can take us to the next level, the more push back we got about our solution being too techie.  We wanted people to text messages (sort of like Command Line entries) and they wanted to just push a button (sort of like wanting Windows).

So after meeting Marc Bienstock, we decided to pivot, just a little, and enter the wide world of Golf. Hence, ezToff was born. Don’t get me wrong. We’re still true to our core and will still be able to reach developing nations with simple text messages. We just need to exercise our bits, to make a living, to help us get back to the broader scope of Twetailer, to help us get back to Lusanga.

And that’s my About ezToff!

Please feel free to comment & reach out if you’d like more info, or, maybe have a AnotherSocialEconomy brain-child of your own that we could help you with.

Regards,

Steven Milstein, Founder and Chief Story Teller :-)

  1. This vision is truly game changing.
Twetailer fits amazingly in the new wikibrand economy.
I love golf (real passion for me), but i think twetailer could be an amazing platform or enabler for organization and vertical markets with real money and challenges, that quickly need to adapt to this new reality.

  2. Martin,

It’s interesting how you brought up organizations and vertical markets. Lately, we’ve run into a couple of folks at the brand level who’ve expressed interest in how the system can help them manage/oversee operations at the retail level.

For ezToff, we can share data like “How many requests (Demands) did the golf course receive, how many tee-off times (Proposals) did they make and how many tee-offs were ultimately booked (Closed).” This may be of interest to golf associations.

But we go even further with our used car dealer vertical. Since we don’t expect consumers to Close the purchase of a used car with a simple email email message, we prompt them to Rate and comment on the dealer’s Proposal and any follow-up experiences they shared. Dealers can also Rate & Comment on Consumers – albeit indirectly.

Now it’s one thing to generate sale leads from the Internet, but we can actually tell you what happened to those leads & maybe even why. And yes, we could sum it all up in a simple text message.

Sharing this data with brands, even consumer advocacy groups will add an interesting group dynamic to AnotherSocialEconomy.

Thanks so much for the kind words & sharing the vision.
